Policies

HOURS:  We are open 7 days a week Monday thru Sunday 7 AM to 6 PM You may arrive to check in your pet at any time between 7 AM and 5:30 PM

You may pick your pet up any time between 7 AM and 6 PM Check out is by 12 PM and you will not be charged for that day.  After 12 PM a full day’s charge will be added to the  bill.

A Pre-Payment is required for the 1st day of your intended stay upon arrival for first time guests.  We accept Cash, Check, Visa/Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Debit Cards. 

DEPOSITS: When making a holiday reservation, you will need to hold your pet’s room with a deposit.  A deposit for each dog room and $30 for each cat room.  The deposit is non-refundable and non-negotiable (for example:  to hold a Christmas reservation the deposit is due no later than November 30th).  Deposits are refundable if cancelled before the 1st of the month of the holiday. 

The deposit must reach us before the first of month of the holiday.  $50 minimum for a dogs stay and a $30 minimum for a cats stay during holidays. 

Please keep in mind that we run a weekly report of all holiday reservations in order to keep track of those who have make a reservation and those who have not.  All dog & cat rates are $2.00 more per day additional during holiday periods.

1st TIME CLIENTS are required to pay a deposit of the first nights board at the time of appointment booking to hold their reservation.  This deposit is not-refundable for clients who do not check in on the requested date of appointment.  The deposit is however applied to the bill when the animal checks out.

ALL FIRST TIME BOARDERS: Will be charged $14.00 per day / per dog.  The multiple pet discount still applies if boarding in the same room.  The price after the first reservation for NEW clients will return to the normal daily rate of $17.00 per day for the next reservation.

VACCINATIONS: All pets boarding must be current on their vaccinations.

DOGS: DHPP, Rabies, & Infectious Tracheobronchitis (Bordatella required every six months).

CATS: FVRCP, & Rabies.

Pets found not to be current will be vaccinated upon arrival. A $25 fee will be added to your bill for traveling to the Vet. If external or internal parasites are found on the pet during the stay, they will be treated as needed determines. The cost of the vaccinations and/or treatments will be added to the total bill.

FEEDING:  All pets are fed at our facility in the mornings.  We feed a high quality lamb and rice professional mix of dry food.  We can soak the dry kibble if your pet requires that, and we have pedigree canned if yours gets mixed food.  You are welcome to bring your pet’s own food if you feel more comfortable doing so.  There is no extra charge for us to serve that.  If your pet eats only canned food, please provide your pets own food.  If your pet requires a 2nd feeding in the evening a $1 charge is added for each day.  We are happy to “free feed” your pet dry food if the prefer to “munch” all day. 

MEDICATION:  We will carefully schedule and attend to the medication given to your pet.  There will be a $2 charge each time our techs give pills.  We DO NOT give insulin injections. 

BEDS, BLANKETS, AND TOYS:  You are welcome to brig your pet’s bed or bedding and toys.  We provide a blanket for every dog and prefer to use ours.  Dogs seem to be very excited during their stay and may tear up their own bedding or toys.  Please do not bring “favorite” items, because your pet may behave differently when out of their own environment.  We do only allow 2-3 toys on your pets visit. 

GROOMING:  We have a groomer available 7 days a week.  Please understand appointments are taken on a first come, first served basis.  At peak times, such as summer and holidays, it fills up fast.  Plan ahead and schedule early!!!

AGING OR PARTLY DISABLED PETS AND SPECIAL NEEDS    We prefer you to board your aging or disabled pet at a veterinarian’s facility where they can monitor and care for any problems that might crop up due to boarding.  Pets that cannot walk, those with serious conditions, and those who are feeble and old should stay with their veterinarian.  We cannot be responsible for the very special needs of these pets.  We accept pets over 10 years old for boarding only under certain conditions.  They must be healthy, able to walk without assistance and continent.  A release and information form must be signed upon check-in if your aging pet is accepted for boarding.

FACILITY TOURS   We feel that no pet should be left until the pet’s owner has inspected the facility to assure themselves of the quality of care the pet will receive.  We will be happy to let you walk through our facility with a staff member and see our operation in action.  Once you have seen our facility, however, we do not allow pet owners to come back into their rooms to bring their dogs or cats to board or to get them out of the rooms when they are going home.  Each time a new person walks into the kennels the dogs get very excited.  We insist on minimizing this excitement as much as possible to prevent diarrhea and other problems that ensue when dogs are over-stimulated too often in the day.  Tours are Mon-Sat 11am-3pm.

OUR GROOMING SALON  Our groomers are available not only for your pet’s needs when they are boarded with us, but will be happy to take care of your grooming needs at any time you choose to make a grooming appointment.  We highly recommend that you have your pet bathed after a boarding visit.  It is much more enjoyable to take home a fresh smelling pet that you can cuddle and welcome home.  Our groomers are skilled in all styles of clips for all breeds of dogs.  Since individual condition of each pet’s fur varies from time to time, we cannot quote an exact price without a groomer looking at your pet and the condition of the coat.
